How I Became an Math Tutor — and Why I Love What I Do
I didn’t become a Maths tutor to rush through topics or chase grades for the sake of it. I started tutoring because I saw how many students were capable of doing well, but had lost confidence along the way.
Over time, I realised that most students don’t struggle with Maths itself — they struggle when gaps are left unaddressed and lessons move on too quickly. My approach is about slowing things down, explaining ideas clearly, and helping students feel confident asking questions.
I enjoy working one-to-one because it allows me to focus on what actually helps each student move forward. Whether that’s exam preparation, building confidence, or making sense of difficult topics, the goal is always the same: real understanding and steady progress.
